In march of this year, Malaysian Cartoonist Zunar was honoured with the 2016 Cartooning For Peace Prize.
But to collect it, he had to post $15,000 dollars bail.
Zunar is currently facing up to 43 years jail on charges of sedition for cartoons that critiqued the Malaysian government.
He’s now calling for a change in Malaysia’s outdated freedom of expression laws, coming to Australia to speak out about the issue.
