Six of the Bali Nine face execution as Tommy walks free

Its been confirmed that four of the Bali nine that had sought to have their sentences reduced have been given death sentences, following appeals launched by some of the Australians. But in a perverse twist, this week news emerged that Tommy Suharto, the son of the former Indonesian dictator General Suharto, will be released from jail after serving only four years of a 15-year sentence after he was found guilty of arranging for a Supreme Court judge to be murdered. The results have some questioning whether Indonesian justice has really reformed itself since pro-democracy riots forced general Suharto to step down in 1998.
