Dr Gabrielle McMullin is a prominent vascular surgeon and co-author of the new eBook ‘Pathways to Gender and Equality in Australia’, but this weekend she was the centre of controversy. Dr McMullin appeared on ABC’s AM program on Saturday and said she tells her female medical trainees not to report on sexual harassment by other doctors as it can ruin their careers. Her remarks were a shocking way to bring light to sexual harassment and a culture of silence in the medical industry. Laura Corrigan reports.
