The opposition against coal seam gas has grown strong and has united many groups including farmers, environmental groups, and politicians. But Professor John Quiggin, federation fellow in Economics and Political Science at the University of Queensland, has argued people who agree that climate change is the most important environmental issue facing Australia should not outright oppose coal seam gas.
