Kids in the country might feel as though they’re as far away from Shakespeare as you could possibly get, but that’s all about to change. The Bell Shakespeare Company have just been given a one million dollar government grant to go to the bush with their performances. The fine language of Shakespeare will travel to at least 70 country schools, while new teams of actors will be set up in Perth and Brisbane. Linda Lorenza is the education manager for Bell Shakespeare. She explains how far the million dollars will go, and says country audiences are the most appreciative.
