Sex industry protests changes to NSW law
The sex industry is an issue most people won’t talk about it and few want it conducted in their neighbourhood. But today, a vocal group of men and women gathered in front of New South Wales parliament house in bid to draw attention to proposed changes to the Environment Planning and Assesment Act, which they believe unfairly target sex- workers operating from private residences. NSW Premier Morris Iemma has said the changes will target illegal brothel operators who attempt to circumvent criminal laws and planning regualtions. Those standing in the rain outside parliament house were not convinced, saying this makes no sense and is simply a moral crusade to shut down the sex-industry.
