Last week, after seven years working as a Federal Senator, Pat Dodson announced his retirement from politics, effective January 26 of next year.

The 75-year-old Aboriginal activist is a respected leader, having been at the forefront of the pathway to Reconciliation for First Nations people. but Senator Dodson says his battle with cancer has affected his ability to perform his duties as a Senator.
