A Senate report on petrol sniffing in Indigenous communities has gained political consensus to combat the problem faced in Remote Communities. The enquiry was established to determine the effectiveness of existing laws, diversionary programs and the use Opal Fuel . The Central Australian Youth Link-Up Service (CAYLUS) with other peak drug treatment bodies were heartened by the report’s recommendations.Scott Wilson of the National Drug and Alcohol Council was hopeful that this national platform will broaden the scope.
