Researchers are about to start human trials of a brand new treatment for Multiple Sclerosis. Inspiration for the treatment came from an unexpected place – the new drug uses a component of the venom found in sea anemones.

Multiple sclerosis is a disease in which the body’s own immune system attacks the brain and spinal cord.But now researchers will be using a modified component found in the sea anemone venom to stop those rogue elements of the immune system in their tracks.
