Screw Lightbulbs – smarter ways to save Australians time and money
Three years ago in café in Melbourne, then environmental reporter for The Age, Liz Minchin, and CSIRO Scientist Donna Green, were expressing their frustration over a jug of sangria. The source of their frustration? The lack of practical information for everyday Australians on what they can do about climate change. Fast forward three years – and in a café in Adelaide, I’m talking to Liz Minchin about the book that came out of that conversation. “Screw Lightbulbs – smarter ways to save Australians time and money”, has just been launched – and attempts to fill the gap in climate change “how to” books between dense scientific tomes and policies advising us to simply change our light globes.
