An adored topic of the silver screen, Science Fiction is quickly becoming just plain science as this week South Korean officials revealed they’ll be implementing a “Robot Ethics Charter”. The code is meant not only to stop robots from overthrowing their human masters but to stop humans from mistreating their robots. South Korea’s Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy said that due to the country’s low fertility rate, it’s possible to see robots becoming “key companions to human beings”.
