The Great Barrier Reef is not the only water under imminent threat from human activity. South Australia’s Spencer Gulf is home to some remarkable marine species including leafy sea Dragons and the giant Cuttlefish, both of which could be threatened by a planned desalination plant. There’s plenty of local objection to the desalination plant including from the artist community. Georgia Kelly-Bakker went along to the Save Our Gulf Coalition art exhibition at Gallery M in Adelaide and asked how we can save our waterways.
