Rwanda Today
Yesterday on The Wire we spoke to Lily Nyamwasa and heard her account of her experiences of Rwanda 10 years ago during the genocide. There were many warning signs leading up to the event and over the years much criticism has been levelled at the US and the UN. Cinnamon Nippard spoke to Dr Wendy Lambourne Lecturer and Coordinator of Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Sydney who is currently holding a series of events reflecting on the 10th anniversary of the Rwandan genocide which began on 7th April 1994; and also Reverend David Cohen, is the National Director of Christian Nationals Evangelism Council or Partner’s International. He lived in Goma, across the border from Rwanda, after the genocide, working in Refugee camps running education programs.
