Russia has vetoed a United Nations Security Council draft resolution brought by Australia, Belgium, Malaysia, the Netherlands and Ukraine, for a special tribunal to investigate the 2014 shooting down of flight MH17. Eleven of the fifteen members of the Security Council voted in favour of the resolution, but Russia exercised its right to veto as a permanent member of the Security Council. The Wire investigates.
