A survey released today has uncovered some misconceptions and similarities between kids living in the city and the bush. The survey by Mission Australia, has found that while most young people value their community, friends and family highly. Interestingly though, it also found that young people in the country value employment more highly than their city counterparts – they are also more concerned about the damaging effects of drug and alcohol abuse. Mission Australia’s national manager of research and social policy, Anne Hampshire, outlined the survey’s aims.
