The Wire

The city of Adelaide has been heavily guarded and the city centre virtually locked down for the visit of US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. There was a small but vocal protest outside the Adelaide Town hall where Rumsfeld was meeting with Robert Hill for the Australia-US Ministerial Forum. Only one protestor was arrested. One protestor said he believed Adelaide was chosen for the meeting as a place where mass protest was unlikely.
