Rudd government still slow on same sex rights

People in same sex relationships are still facing discrimination despite some legal reforms by the Rudd government. That was the message from a national day of action by gay groups around Australia yesterday. They’re demanding the Rudd Government allow the same rights as married heterosexual couples. The protest came in the same week as the openly gay Federal Minister Penny Wong, was accused of towing the party line by supporting the ban on gay marriage.
