Dilma Rousseff, Brazil’s first female president, has finally been removed from office, after months battling accusations of impeachment. Rousseff was ousted after a vast majority ruling of 61 to 20, and has been replaced by Michel Temer, who is set to remain in office until 2018. Strangely, although Rousseff has not technically been banned from running in future elections, her successor Temer is set to face an 8-year ban from national politics at the end of his term.
