Roundtable seeks answers to shortage of rural health workers

Regional and remote area health workers are in such low supply, a national roundtable has met today in Canberra to address work shortages. According to the National Rural Health Workforce, country areas are short around 1,600 health professionals, compounding the inequality of health for people who live outside our cities. The roundtable brought together fourteen professional health groups and consumer advocates to find a solution to the crisis.
