AC/DC has made it into the National Registry of Recorded Sound archive, alongside nine other iconic Australian sounds. The annual selection process aims to preserve some of the country’s most important sounds, and the 2012 lineup is the fifth instalment in the archive’s history.

This year’s selection also includes some rare recordings of indigenous language recitals, interviews, and songs.
