Independent MP Rob Oakeshott has accepted a place on the government’s climate change committee which will examine the best way to price carbon. Mr Oakeshott will join fellow independent Tony Windsor, as well as deputy chairs Treasurer Wayne Swan and Australian Greens MP Christine Milne. The opposition has refused two places on the committee because they did not want to commit to a carbon price from the outset. So how soon can we expect to see some policies?
