The live export trade in Australia has exported sheep, cattle and other animals enduring conditions which leave them to suffer from septesemia and pink eye – some have even died on the voyage. Animals Australia have researched these conditions after fighting for several months for government documents through Freedom of Information. Glennis Oodjes, CEO of Animals Australia, says it’s a severe problem and live exports from Australia should be banned.
