A feminist revitalisation is spreading across social media – one Tweet at a time. Sites such as Twitter and Facebook have been providing a space for women to voice their experiences of everyday sexism and fight back when misogyny rears its ugly head.

This week, marks the one year anniversary of feminist, activist social media group, ‘Destroy the Joint’. Joline Samawi investigates whether the growth of social media is facilitating a new wave of feminism.
