The Goondiwindi Hospital had its name cleared today over recent allegations the body of a deceased aboriginal elder was not stored correctly on its premises. Albert “Autry” Dennison passed away at the end of January, but his body wasn’t buried until weeks later. The deceased’s cousin Terrence Stacey alleges the funeral home didn’t transport or store the remains properly, preventing the family from a final viewing.
