Researchers calling for better access to arts for youth

A local arts organisation is calling on the state government to “act on research” which suggests greater youth access to the arts improves their wellbeing.

New research insights collated by Kindred Australia and released at the first Youth Arts Meets Parliament, highlights a link between access to the arts and children’s development and wellbeing.

The Wire spoke with Kindred Australia Founder, Trish Hansen and Flinders University Associate Professor and Kindred Australia board director, Tully Barnett to find out more on the research.
