The Australian Republic Movement is consulting with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders to develop the idea of Australia to become a Republic, in which the system looks more accurate to the actual values (Image by mikecogh on Flickr).

In 1990s, the referendum of the government to switch the political system into a Republic was defeated. Today, after more than a decade, the movement strikes back and gaining its momentum. The movement is bringing a topic on the spotlight: acknowledging and recognising the First Peoples of Australia into the Constitution.
