A new report warns Australian workers face a decline in living standards by slowing wage growth and the risk of higher inflation. The rather emotively-titled document from think-tank Per Capita “Paradise Lost: the race to maintain Australian living standards” argues governments need to spend more on infrastructure, education and training to lift our potential and our incomes. It sees a shift in incomes away from workers to companies and warns of the need to maintain workplace protections.
