A new report about relationships between police and Muslim communities was released by the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission on Thursday. Unlocking Doors is the result of community forums in Victoria and New South Wales that brought Muslim representatives and police together to discuss incidents of racial and religious discrimination and abuse. Heather Anderson spoke to National Race Discrimination Commissioner, Tom Calma, about the Unlocking Doors project which was funded by the federal Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
