Rental crisis forcing Australian adults back into share housing

The number of adults in their 30’s moving back to share housing is rising rapidly as Australian rental markets continue to tighten.

According to realestate.com, their website, Flatmates saw their busiest month  in January this year, with more than 200,000 people turning to a share house situation.

The Wire’s Jo Newbury spoke with Victoria renter, 36-year-old digital software consultant, Alex Baulderstone who recently transitioned back into share housing after being priced out of his two bedroom apartment.
