The Wire

This week marks 40 years since the 6 day war between Israel and Palestine. In that 1967 conflict the relatively new state of Israel defeated Egypt, Jordan and Syria and massively increased its borders by taking over Palestinian land. Palestinians continue their fight to regain that land and they marked last night’s anniversary by staging demonstrations around the world, including in cities around Australia. Ibrahim Farran is a Palestinian/Australian businessman – he is a member of the group Friends Of Palestine who organised the Adelaide protest, where they built a replica of the wall which now divides Jews and Palestinians.
