A new report “Barriers and exclusions: the support needs of newly arrived refuges with a disability” highlights the lack of care available for refugees.

The report – a partnership between the Federation of Ethnic Communities Council of Australia, the National Ethnic Disability Alliance, the Refugee Council of Australia and the Settlement Council of Australia – identifies 14 recommendations to improve support for refugees with a disability.

With the federal election coming up within the next few months, they’re hoping to push candidates towards supporting the issue.
