Refugees feel welcome in Australia but face ongoing challenges in health and housing

Research released this week by the Australian Institute of Family Studies shows many refugees who have been granted permanent residency in Australia feel welcome and relatively settled. But many face ongoing challenges with mental health and housing. The longitudinal study Building a New Life in Australia is taking place over five years, with interviews taking place every year. The majority of current respondents live in Sydney and Melbourne.
