This Saturday, 26 year old Ismail Mirza Jan will be the first Afghan asylum seeker to be involuntarily sent back to Afghanistan.

Jan is one of the ethnic Hazara group, a minority in Afghanistan that have faced persecution and violence.Refugee advocates say that the government’s decision is motivated by politics, and sets a bad precedent for the safety for people seeking asylum in Australia.
