The makers of Reflex paper have lost their green credentials after refusing to rule out the use of native forests in their products. The company, Australian Paper, have withdrawn from certification process of the internationally-recognised Forest Stewardship Council. Australian Paper is unwilling to comply with the FSC’s stricty standards that forbid the use of “high conservation value” native forests. Rather than switching to plantation sourced timber, Reflex will still use native wood logged by the Victorian government-owned VicForests.
