Aboriginal participation in tertiary education is important for Indigenous Australians for their future involvement in education and employment across the country.

The University of South Australia is encouraging more educational opportunities for Indigenous Australian students, as it becomes the first university in South Australia to use a Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan.

The plan will help develop strategy and a set of actions to be implemented until 2021 – that focus on the needs of Aboriginal students, and to create a culturally safe environment where they will thrive.
