Raising awareness for the plight of Uyghur people in East Turkistan

In the 68 years since East Turkistan has been annexed to China there have been many reports about the plight of the country’s indigenous people – the Uyghurs.

Many have sought political asylum in other countries, having faced mistreatment and jail at home because of their cultural background. For those who remain the threats are real, and if imprisoned it is difficult for family members to get any communication about their situation.
