Work on the Pacific Highway has been suspended after workers discovered containers of radioactive material buried on the New South Wales mid-north coast. The New South Wales Minister for Roads, Duncan Grey, said today that he is taking the investigation into a possible radiation leak very seriously.

The leak was discovered when work was being done on the Pacific Highway.Workers have reported experiencing nausea and vomiting but the New South Walkes government says initial investigations show there is no radioactive material at the site.
