The National Indigneous News Service has received an email from an Aboriginal spectator, detailing how she sat through an extended period of racial abuse when Parramatta played the Cowboys two weeks ago. The Parramatta Eels have expelled the fan from Parramatta Stadium, and point out that they do not control the actions of their spectators. Speaking with Craig Egert, Eels spokesman Damien Kelly was keen to put the incident behind the club. We were not allowed to contact Parramatta player Dean Widders (who has worked hard with HREOC to eliminate racism) for his reaction.
