The first Multicultural Week in Queensland kicked off this week. Around 22 events showcased what Queensland has become over the past 10 years. The Queensland Government recognises and acknowledges Queensland has become a multicultural place where everyone fits in the community, hence it’s important to embrace and celebrate it.
More than 200 languages other than English are spoken across the state and more than 100 religious systems are practised. Also, multiculturalism boosts the economy.
