The man recently named Queenslander of the Year has faced revived abuse allegations this week. Just one month ago, the Aboriginal Principal of Cherbourg Primary School, Chris Sarra, was being lauded for his achievements – all based on an ethic which teaches indigenous children to pride themselves on being strong and smart. But now some old accusations against Mr Sarra have gained currency in the mainstream media, with suggestions that he may have used excessive force against students. Mr Sarra responds to his accusers.
