Whilst the Carmichael coal mine may be on the nose elsewhere in Australia, all parties in Queensland save the Greens are for the mine development – but in all of Queensland, people have a general feeling that they have been missing out, not getting ahead.  What is making them angry is the high electricity prices, and all parties have differing strategies to bring them down.

But with a short campaign, there is not much time to come up with new policies, and another protest vote could be likely serve up another hung parliament.
