The results of the Queensland state election remain unconfirmed, but it appears certain a major shake-up is underway. With 80 per cent of votes counted for the Far North Queensland seat of Cook, Billy Gordon is set to be the first Labor Indigenous MP to be elected to the state’s parliament. Billy says it’s time for local voices to be heard in the remote area.
