The Queensland government will stop funding to the anti-bullying program Safe Schools which is designed to educate students, staff and families about diverse sexuality, bodies and gender. The program has been met with controversy from federal coalition MP’s and members of the community. Queensland’s funding for the program will only last until the end of October, leaving local schools to use funds from their own budget if they wish to continue or replace the program.
