Recent heavy rain has much of Queensland under a blanket of water. Since the start of 2010 more than 80 percent of the state’s 73 councils have been added to the list of areas eligible for disaster relief. Residents in Roma are currently in recovery mode after being hit by severe floods earlier in the week, while further south, St George locals begin evacuations as they prepare for the worst.
