Queensland explores options in draft protected area strategy

The Queensland government hopes to bring more state land under environmental protection and is seeking ways to do it under a new protected area strategy.

State Environment Minister Dr Steven Miles said he is committed to aiming towards United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity target of having 17 per cent of land under protection.
