Polls predict the Queensland Labor Party is set to lose to the opposition Liberal National Party after being in office since 2015, as residents are concerned about the economy, with anti-incumbency a rising issue.

Both major parties are having to navigate the “Queensland paradox” of balancing urban progressive voters in Brisbane with conservative rural voters in the regions.
