Brisbane could have a new mayor tomorrow after a prolonged and rather unusual local council election campaign. Incumbent Graham Quirk took over after Campbell Newman took over the leadership of the flailing Liberal National party and riding it into office. He’s challenged by Labor’s Rob Harding and the Greens’ Ben Pennings and has had to play catch up on things like public transport and quality of life issues.
