Its International Purple Day for Epilepsy

Today is international Purple Day, a day to increase awareness of epilepsy.  It can occur at any time in peoples lives, as children, in old age, as a result of a car accident – but people still have to bear a stigma which is unnecessary, Purple Day Action Ambassador and Socceroo Paul Wade says.

Many people still think that during a seizure people are in danger of swallowing their tongue – not so!  Find out more at www.epilepsy.org.au
