Protesting “Stealth” film
NSW Police are trying to remove protestors who have set up a blockade to prevent an American film crew from shooting scenes in the Blue Mountains National Park. The makers of the multi million dollar action blockbuster – Stealth – obtained a permit from the New South Wales’ Department of Environment and Conservation to shoot in the world heritage listed park for two days. But the protestors say that the area is so delicate, the film crew should not be there at all. Christine Baker spoke to Greens MP Ian Cohen and Trisha Rothkrans, Chief Executive of Ausfilm. The blockade at the Blue Mountains was broken late this afternoon, 8 people were arrested, but protestors have pledged to pursue other legal avenues.
