Lawyer Robynne Quiggan has joined an impressive lineup of Indigenous academics from home and overseas to address the Charles Darwin university symposium – The Living Desert, in Alice Springs. Ms Quiggan is a Wiradjuri descendent and a researcher with the Jumbunna Indigenous House of Learning at the University of Technology, Sydney. She’s been telling symposium delegates this week of her concerns that the rights of Indigenous people to own and control their own knowledge can not be guaranteed.
